Hey y’all!
The first ever Hastings Jazz Festival is just one month away! The horn arrangements are being written, the singers are on vocal rest, the rhythm section is finding their groove and the word is getting out.
Across 12+ hours of music in three America Ground venues, the lineup features headline sets from AfroRock Funk legends Osibisa, rising UK jazz innovators Harper Trio, and AfroBeat innovators the Dele Sosimi Quintet. They’ll be joined by hometown favourites Hexagonal, Barnaby’s Big Band, Very Tiny Toads, and many, many more.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be diving deeper into our lineup here, so please check back. But above all: please plan to join us on Saturday 4 October for a celebration of two great Hastings traditions — brilliant live music and throwing a big ol’ party!
